Worlds in movement…
It’s already nearly a year and a half since the revolts first took place in Tunisia and Egypt, and there’s a lot that has happened in that region since then and that is continuing to happen that is of interest and concern to anyone interested in the way the world is unfolding. In many ways, it is key.
And for those more specifically involved or interested in the World Social Forum, since its next world meeting is – at present – still scheduled to be held in either Tunisia or Egypt this coming January (2013) it’s surely of the greatest importance to familiarise yourself with developments in the region from well ahead.
For those interested therefore, here are three references for those interested in following events in the region, in English :
· The website Jadaliyya, @ http://www.jadaliyya.com/,
· Pambazuka News (to subscribe to Pambazuka News, go to http://pambazuka.gn.apc.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pambazuka-news or send a message to editor at pambazuka.org with the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject line; and to view it, go to http://www.pambazuka.org/en/, and –
· ‘Arabs Rise for Rights’, the e-newsletter that IPS publishes on and from the region, as below.
If anyone has any other suggestions, and/or comments on any of these three suggestions, please do post them here.
