There is a thin line between "I have not read" and "I have never bothered to 
read". I think it is intellectually honest to at least make an effort to 
read up on the contested literature of a Veteran, even if just by manner of 
reading up of summaries or reviews, before coming out with the statement by 
P.

I am happy to take your word on Chomsky, Andrej, since 1) I have not
read the writings you refer to and 2) I know both you and yours. My
familiarity is or was with Chomsky and Herman's Propaganda Model of the
dominant media.

So, how did he and his sometime collaborator, Herman, get mixed up with
those whitewashing the Ruanda genocide?

And do you not recognise the tendency of one significant part of the
international left to impose a Manichean scheme onto complex contradictions.
