[Debate] British muslims - is there such a creature?

Nothing, if that exhortation has some basis in fact and is not a repeat of
the general caricaturing of people of Muslim faith in the UK. Not all
Muslims can be identified through 'beards and hijabs', just as not all
Muslims' primary political occupations are those of the UK's foreign wars.
Nor, for that matter, will the expression of politics simply be made through
the faith, which for many, I suspect, is a private matter. The problem
might be with the BCM, and not its proclaimed constituency.

May be so, but what is wrong with an exhortation (at most generous) to get
more involved in the polity beyond issues circumscribed (wrongly) by
religious affiliation?

Over generalised and essentialised argument, but if galloway did issue such
a leaflet he's an even bigger plonker than I originally thought he was.
