[Debate] Hein Marais book

That's interesting - have always thought the SunTimes let people down on the
score of decent reviews of serious non-fiction. I shall try to get a review
copy and do one for another outlet I can get it into...

It has not been well publicized, apart from the launch events, which were
excellent. I think it is a fantastic book and am trying to get all my
students to read it (as a debate lurker I should explain that I work at the
Education Policy Unit at Wits). I wrote a review for the Sunday Times, and
the books editor has just come back to me to say, they don't publish such
serious things. Serious things can only come in the review section, but they
don't do book reviews in the review section.... It's very frustrating. What
would be perfect is if the Sunday Times or M&G would publish some short
versions of some of the chapters as op eds or something. It really deserves
to be well read.
