Dear friends and comrades,

I’m not a regular dispatcher of notices, or an encourager of people to
attend events. But I really, really want to make an exception this time.
A wonderful friend and mentor of mine is coming to South Africa for two
weeks. Professor Robert Jensen is one of the most brilliant, authentic,
and moving prophetic voices of our age. Amandla Publications are hosting
him during his visit and have arranged several events around it in Cape
Town, Johannesburg, and Durban. Attached you’ll find a list of his
speaking engagements and, from the bottom of my heart, I want to
encourage you to attend one or more of these.

Bob is a truly great human being, articulates and embodies all that it
means to be a human being in resistance to all forms of oppression and
who has a tireless desperation to participate in the creation of a new
world wherein all people are free to be human and living in harmony with
the only home that we have ever known, the earth.

Please do whatever you can to spread the word.

Comradely yours

Farid Esack

P.S. Look out for Amandla - South Africa's finest progressive magazine,
covering justice, politics and more.
