The Who Profits Project

Veolia Environment (France) – This Company already attracted the 
attention of European civil society organizations because of its 
involvement in the Jerusalem light rail project, designed to connect 
settlements around Jerusalem to the city centre. The Who Profits project 
ascertained an additional involvement of Veolia in the Israeli 
occupation, and showed that it owns and operates a landfill in the 
occupied Jordan Valley, using captured Palestinian land resources for 
the needs of Israeli settlements.

A multinational French company operating in the fields of water, waste 
management, energy and transport services.
Through its subsidiary Connex Israel it is one of the companies in the 
CityPass cosortium, contracted to operate the light rail project in 
Jerusalem, which is under construction. The light rail is designed to 
connect the city of Jerusalem with the illegal settlements around it.

Through its subsidiary Veolia Environmental Services Israel (which has 
bought T.M.M. Integrated Recycling Services), it owns and operates the 
Tovlan Landfill in the occupied Jordan Valley, using captured 
Palestinian natural and land resources for the needs of Israeli settlements.

Involved in:

on Occupied LandServices to the Settlements

Main shareholders: Capital Research and Management Company (12%), Caisse 
des Dépôts et Consignations (10%), Groupama A.M (5%), Natixis Asset 
Management (5%), Electricité de France (4%), Autocontrôle (3%).

Among its Israeli subsidiaries: Connex Transportation Israel, Veolia 
Environmental Services Israel, T.M.M. Integrated Recycling Industries, 
Veolia Transportation Israel, Connex Jerusalem, Veolia Water Services 
Israel.
