[DEBATE] : London Protest

Jsst back from a weekend in London and after an amazing week or so of marches across the UK since the attack on Gaza there were at least 100,000 in London yesterday when it was about -5 degrees! The BBC said at 1pm about 45 mins before the march moved off that there were 100,000. It was an incredible march, very young, angry and lots of young Muslim youth. Since the July bombings in the UK the state with the help of the more conservative community leaders has tried to keep Muslims off the streets and away from protests and it has to be said it has in worked in many ways -people have kept there heads down in many cases. The attacks on Gaza have helped smash that as the protests across the country have seen Muslim people back on the streets marching.SOme good speeches especially suggestioins for mass boycotts and cavalcade protests by George Galloway.  There was also an excellent march of about 10,000 in edinburgh which for a city of that size is a fantastic turnout.   Peter D
