Looking out of the window

Gemlike a car's sunlit metal
gleams through a tree's waving branches
confirmation of decay
assertion of today's ephemeridae
leaffronds lift, twist and flutter,
lamvent green leaf patterns display their intricate finery
growth, decay, motion:
immutably, all changes
even while all remains the same:
the leaf will wither, fall, decay
signalling our kinship
