Nobody appears to have enlightened you, so here goes: a mampara is a stupid
person. The Sunday Times has shanghaied the term and awards Mampara of the
Week to whoever has behaved most idiotically in the preceding week - with
what's going on at the moment, they are spoiled for choice!
