This silence may be awe for what might turn out to be a still born event.
All is in baneful suspense, all are waiting and with most (not necessarily
Zapiro's) there could be strings attached one way or another. At least you
are guiding us by Gresham's Law - "Free your mind and your ass will
follow!", or is it the other way round? Or maybe many are beginning to
realise that bad politicians chase out the good one's? My bet is that those
who still glibly speak of the "revolution" are out at the latter part of
your so delightful phrase about "liberating minds" . . . . . this tumult is
not over yet. Mbeki was far too cool and M George far too worried walking
away from the meeting with his cell phone plugged to his ear! But it will
not prove to be revolutionary!

Why is it, dear comrade Barend, that at this time of the fall of the
baleful TM1, the [DEBATE] forum has no debate to offer? You, at least
have tried, but where are the others, and what are their opinions?

Let me hazard a guess or two. Some of them are "Zapiros". Do people
know that this is now a political category? You are a "Zapiro" if you
think like Zapiro and if the dustbins of your mind are rather smelly.

Others may be in fear of Muphry's Law. To them I say: The force be
with you! Free your mind and your ass will follow!

But mostly, I think it is because of the green-eyed monster. Plain old
jealousy is the reason, which is the very same reason that old Thabs
fell down like Humpty-Dumpty..

The green-eyed monster devours its host, leaving a silent, gaping shell.
