Peter,
Its gone very quiet all of a sudden. I listened to the entire proceeding and
however distasteful to some that the courts decision, which in my view was
entirely credible, I think that we have a more fluid situation to work with
under a Zuma presidency than under the centralist Mbeki. Challenges are
greater and good night indeed the pipeline of nothingness, of denialism, of
pseudo intellectualism and all that. An incredibly cumbersome roadblock is
out of the way!!
Our only real option is to rest our hope in the better world which is maybe
more at risk, but also more possible!

Even on the assumption (that you are presumably making) that the court's
decision on Zuma was wrong, this still leaves other arenas in which he can
be combatted.
The political? The social-civil?
And even if the opposite decision had been made, and if Zuma had been
convicted, I am not sure this would have been the end of the matter.
