Hi Friends

Guilty of contempt of court but in the public interest, in terms
of section 297(1)(a)(ii) of Act no 51 of 1977, sentence is postponed for
a period of three years. I have only very minor quibbles with the
judgement.

I've done what I can in putting the arms deal into the public
domain, including providing the media with the complaint I lodged on 20
August 2008 with the Specialised Crime Unit in Bellville. It is now up
to civil society and the media to investigate and expose the rot, and to
demand a thorough and independent judicial investigation of the arms
deal -- which is what Archbishop Ndungane and others called for back in
1999.

I remain convinced I shall be fully vindicated long before three
years is out.

So, in essence, just a warning: and well worth helping the Sunday Times
with its exposes plus my subsequent laying of criminal charges against
Trevor Manuel . Now it is up to the media and civil society to make
sure that those charges are pursued, and not brushed under the carpet as
a political hot potato.

Regards Terry
