And don't forget she and Rice pushed against Powell and Kansteiner to make
Mbeki their pointman vis a vis Zimbabwe in 2003. The rumours where flying
that these two were Jonathan Moyo's buddies. Other considerations
were: go strong on Liberia at that moment: and Zim was seen as a strong
state that could repel the enemy in the new war against 'terror'.
Policies shift easily. That's why it's so easy for people like Mugabe to use
the so-called imperialists more easily than they can use them.

Frazer is Mugabe's secret weapon. Having Bush's chief Africa mouthpiece
-- the chief apologist for the vicious Zenawi regime and architect of the
bloody American proxy war in Somalia, among many other things -- attack him
is a gift from heaven, and he's taking full insulting advantage.

If the Bushies really want to help the democratic project in Zim they should
shut up and crawl back under the rock they came from.

Reuters

May 26, 2008 -- HARARE, Zimbabwe - President Robert Mugabe yesterday
kicked off his campaign for next month's election runoff by accusing the
United States of political interference and comparing one of its key
diplomats to a hooker.

He chastised Assistant Secretary of State Jendayi Frazer for suggesting
the opposition Movement for Democratic Change and its leader, Morgan
Tsvangirai, won the March elections.

"You saw this little American girl trotting around like a prostitute
celebrating that the MDC had won - a disgraceful act," said Mugabe, 84,
who has ruled Zimbabwe since it gained its independence from Britain in
1980.

His attack on Frazer and US Ambassador James McGee, whom he threatened
to evict, signaled the start of his campaign for the June 27 runoff
against Tsvangirai, who won the first round of elections but fell short
of an absolute majority.

Mugabe also accused the West of seeking control of Zimbabwe's natural
resources.
