Hi Comrades
The Social Movements Indaba (SMI-Western Cape) supports and salutes the
initiative that is being taken by the communities in Mpumalanga and the
activities against raising food prices. In Cape Town we still have meetings
as build up to a bigger event against the increasing food prices. We
therefore, call upon the government to scrap the Value Added Tax as it hits
on the poor communities, not the rich. We say the government must implement
Personal and corporate tax that only taxes the working people and the rich
only.
Aluta Continua
Yours in struggle
