Have any of you been watching The Wire?

I watch a lot of tv drama and I think that this is perhaps the most 
ambitious series I have ever seen. It dramatises individual lives and 
institutions (police, drug gangs, schools, city politics, unions, media) 
in a way that reaches towards naming the system and stirring a response. 
It is the story of a city (Baltimore) and it is about the devastation 
contemporary capitalism is wreaking on human lives and relationships. I 
just saw the final episode. It is so haunting.

Has the series made its way (either through tv transmission or box sets) 
to SA?
