Bus stoned in N West protest

Johannesburg - A bus carrying passengers has been stoned by protesting 
residents between Makwassie and Wolmaranstad, North West police said on 
Monday.

Spokesperson Superintendent Louis Jacobs said the bus which was carrying 
about 60 passengers was attacked at 14:00 on Sunday.

"We don't know the motive behind the protest but they were rumours of 
lack of service delivery. The situation was 'under control' as the crowd 
dispersed when the police intervened."

The bus was travelling from Pretoria to Cape Town when the incident 
occurred.

There were no injuries reported and no arrests had been made.
