[DEBATE] : No to the Demonization of Pres. Ahmadinejad

Lubna is exactly right.  The rightwing press has been whipping up  
antiAhmedinijad hysteria for a week now. The reason they refused to allow him to  visit 
the WTC site was that they were afraid it would soften his image and  muck up 
the very public drumbearting for an attack on iran.
 
The headline in the Daily News, which I believe is the single largest  
circualtion in the paper (and a cut above the odious murdoch rag the New York  Post}

just  started watching Ahmedinejad's speech at Columbia...and Columbia's  
president Bollinger insulted him....in his introduction...calling him a  
dictator...etc...in response Ahmedinejad said ...that in his country they  
afford their invited academic speakers respect, when they invite them to  
speak...clearly its a case of building up the hype...against the Iranian  
president....hoping to provoke him into saying something outrageous...and  
then claim..see we told you so...he's an evil dictator...I guess the same  
tactic is being used to build up a case to invade Iran...for no real  
reason....
