This is all very true, Patrick, but I'm sure you realize that even  
reformist reforms appear politically impossible in the world's two  
biggest GHG emitters, the U.S. and China. Wouldn't some of the time  
spent denouncing reformist reforms be better spent building some  
support for something, anything? I could see the point of this  
direction of energy were there a large movement on the verge of a  
great victory that was about to be sold out or co-opted, but we're so  
far from there we can't even see its dim outlines.
