Lou makes some excellent points here. I have to say that the whole  
Zapatista/autonomist thing has lost much of its charm for me, and I  
used to find it pretty charming. What have the Zaps accomplished in  
the last 12-13 years? They attracted worldwide attention for a while,  
and Marcos wrote some clever press releases, but meanwhile Mexico has  
had two right-wing presidents in a row. I'd love for someone to  
convince me that the Zaps have done something, just to get  
reacquainted with those old charmed feelings. Please.
