Those interested in the promised NGO Charter might like to check out NGOWatch at http://www.ngowatch.org/articles.php?id=301
and then consider to what extent the extent to which the new ethical NGO standard is due to pressure from the likes of the American Enterprise Institute rather than - say - global civil society.

Not that I am opposed to the still unpublished charter, hey. On the contrary, I am still looking forward to seeing it. But one might consider whether it meets the needs of emancipation rather than those of the surveillance society.
