In Durban on July 21, join our visitors Immanuel Wallerstein, Anne-Maria
Makhulu and James Ferguson - and post-graduate students Baruti Amisi,
Shireen Essof, Prishani Naidoo, Trevor Ngwane, Virginia Setshedi and
Ahmed Veriava - for a day of informal presentations and discussions on
social movements research.

• James Ferguson (Stanford) on policy advocacy by SA social movements, and
• Immanuel Wallerstein (Yale) on revisiting ‘anti-systemic movements’
research after Zapatismo, Seattle and the World Social Forum.
