JOHN HIGGINS, Professor of English Literature at the University of Cape
Town, will address the University of Johannesburg Sociology Seminar on
the subject of 'KARL MARX: NUMBER ONE PUBLIC THINKER.' Anthropology and
Development Studies Seminar Room  (D-506), Auckland Park Kingsway campus
(formerly RAU), 16.00, Friday 24 February. Prof Higgins, who is one of
only a handful of A-rated researchers in the social sciences and
humanities, is currently preparing a book on Marx and culture. All
