[DEBATE] : ECOPEACE 2006 Manifesto-Contract Launch

ECOPEACE will launch its Manifesto-Contract on Saturday 18 January 2006 at
the Merebank Shopping Centre Marketplace at 10h00.

It was decided to take our Manifesto to the streets and put to ordinary
voters a document that we consider to be a Contract between them and all
elected ECOPEACE Councillors.

Unlike other parties ECOPEACE expects its electorate to hold it to account
to its declared intents.

The 2006 ECOPEACE Manifesto-Contract is consistent with all previous
declarations of principle from the ECOPEACE party.

ECOPEACE endorses and supports Merebank Ward 68 independent candidate Rajah
Naidoo chairperson of the Merebank Residents Association (MRA). Rajah and
the MRA have a proven track record of fighting for the poor and
environmentally disadvantaged and Rajah Naidoo will remain accountable to
the MRA as an elected Councillor.
