Database on CSO Pre-Summit Activities

The Institute for Democratic Governance is the secretariat of the  
Ghana CSO Coalition – AU July 2007 Summit.  To facilitate  
coordination, collaboration and networking among CSOs that wish to  
organize or participate in pre-summit activities in Accra, Ghana, the  
secretariat is creating a database on CSO/NGO pre-summit activities  
in the months of June and early July 2007.  The database will be  
accessible to all the registered CSOs and will enable visiting CSO  
actors to also interact with the secretariat.  Registered CSOs will  
also be updated periodically on pre-summit activities and events in  
Ghana.

Kadhafi, Kufuor Consult About Next AU Summit

Libyan revolutionary leader, Moammar Kadhafi, current chairman of the  
Community of Sahelo-Saharan States (CEN-SAD) held talks Monday  
evening in Tripoli with President John Kufuor of Ghana, current  
chairman of the African Union (AU), concerning preparations for the  
AU summit scheduled in July in Accra, Ghana.

Col. Kadhafi and President Kufuor, who arrived Monday afternoon in  
Tripoli, focused their meeting on the creation of an African  
government, which will be the main agenda item at the Accra summit.
