The Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United
Nations (CONGO) and the African Women's Development and Communication
Network (FEMNET) plan to hold a civil society forum to explore
governance issues at the regional and global levels towards achieving
the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The forum is set for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, between March 22 to 24,
2007. It is organized in cooperation with the Economic Commission for
Africa (ECA) and the African Union (AU). The forum seeks to bring
together representatives of national, regional and international NGOs
from Africa to explore the most effective ways to partner with and
impact on African institutions such as the African Union, the UN
Economic Commission Africa and the New Partnership for African
Development (NEPAD).
