[AU-Monitor] Joint press release on the Darfur crisis

Dear Ngirangu and others,
  
  While this is a good and timely press release. I think that it would  carry more weight if not just confirmed to the signatories of the  international NGOs that appear on it and confirmed to a n assesment of  the situation on the ground. I also had discussed with Firze, Irungu  and others who met in Nairobi, Kenya at the School of Monetary school  that there was need to issue a direct press  statement on Sudan  and its aspiration to the AU presidency versus the Darfur crimes as  unaccpetable. Soemthing short of this may not really hit the nail on  the head.
