KPTJ LISTSERVE GUIDELINES

This listserve was pulled together from email addresses of the citizens as well as the governance, human rights and legal organizations who participated in the formative meetings of the coalition Kenyans for Peace with Truth and Justice (KPTJ).

For any further additions to this listserve (or to be removed), please communicate DIRECTLY with Ndung'u Wainaina wainainagn@yahoo.co.uk

At present, the listserve is being used to:

a. Forward any articles, initiatives, reports, statements members might find useful with respect to understanding the elections, the violence or the mediation…please ensure if forwarding the same that they are accredited (ie. you are sure of the authorship, source) and thus assumed to be based on verified information or considered analysis. In other words, please take care that this does NOT degenerate into a listserve for the furtherance of information that is unsubstantiated. Please state if the information is NOT generated by a KPTJ member or KPTJ itself at the top.

b. Forward any such information generated by KPTJ members or the coalition itself.

c. Forward any requests for collective action and/or input by KPTJ members of the coalition itself.

Please therefore do NOT use this listserve for one-on-one exchanges with KPTJ members…if such communication is desired, just note and copy the address of the person to whom you wish to communicate one-on-one and write to her/him off this listserve.

Please do not let the guidelines hinder you from seeking input from KPTJ members on any information circulated or action you may wish to pursue under guidelines a-c.

We're all individually receiving far more information than usual and please therefor read these guidelines in the spirit they're intended…ie. to maintain a sense of collectivity among us, to enrich our own understanding of the situation we're in and to collectively act as and when necessary.
